Multifunctional complex Loft-quarter “Krasnyi Vostok” is the biggest renovation project of “Edelveis Group”. It is situated in the old building of brewery in Trading House “Commerce successors of councilor I.V. Aleksandrov” (G.Tukaya street ,97, Kazan city). The factory was built in the end of 19th century. It has the status of cultural heritage in the region. Building’s silhouette is forming panoramic view of Nizhniy Kaban Lake..

Holding includes well-known trade company “Edelveis”, agro-industrial complex “Krasnyi Vostok-Agro”, joint-stock bank «Energobank», insurance company “Talisman”, mall “Koltso”, mall “GUM”, “Shalyapin Palace Hotel” and “Grand Hotel Kazan”.

1867

Plant construction

1867. It was mentioned in the second half of 19th century for the first time. It was established in 1867 and was called “Vostochnaya Bavaria”. Factory used local raw products: bread, berries and fruits. The hop was imported from Bavaria. The factory produced beer, honey, kvass and traditional soar cabbage soup (schi).

1892

One of the largest beer factories in Russia

Merchant industrialist I.V. Aleksandrov bought company in 1982. The company became the biggest beer factory in Russia. Aleksandrovskiy brewery and malt factory was rewarded by several international exhibitions. The Volume of production was equivalent to more than 1 000 000 Rubbles!

1900

Reconstruction of 1900

The factory was expanded during 1900 and 1907 years. It was made up of 14 different buildings: production and residential buildings.

1914

Ban on trade in vodka, wine and beer

There was issued a decree which forbids sales of vodka, wine and beer. To avoid closure brewery factories started production of light alcohol drinks in 1915. Moscow City Council gave permission to sell beer diluted with water (in proportion 1:1). This kind diluted beer was produced till 1921.

1918

Alexandrovs Trading House and Kazan Brewery

Aleksandrov and his family emigrated abroad after revolution. All his companies were nationalized and transferred to Counsil of People’s Commissars.

1922

“Krasnyi Vostok”

Aleksandrovskiy brewery factory was named “Krasnyi Vostok” in 1922. The building was damaged by Imperialist war and Civil war. Some equipment was stolen.

1930

Factory Recovery

Brewery factory “Krasnyi Vostok” was restored in 1923. It production volume grows to 500 000 dal of beer in 1924. Department of soft drinks was built in 1930. The production of drinks was constantly increasing.

1935

Huge production mechanized workshop

From small factory it became huge mechanized company which produced beer, malt, soft drinks and kvass.

1975

Overhaul and modernization of equipment

In the second half of 20 century renovation of building is urgently needed. For this reason the building was reconstructed in 1975.

2000

Plant reprofiling

The company moved to another building on Tikhoretskaya street, 1 in 2000. The old building became “Edelveis” milk and confectionery factory.

2005

Building emergency condition

The company was evacuated due to emergency condition of the building in 2005.
